CHARACTER INFORMATION:
NAME:Steven Dupree aka Valefar
FANDOM: Original Character
AGE: Around since the beginning of time (8,000,000,000 or 8,000, he won't say), but looks to be in his mid twenties.
SPECIES: Fallen angel/demon/child of fire
ABILITIES: Typical abilities of an angel (fallen or not) in 'verse. Super speed/strength/endurance/durability/flexibility, flight, and teleportation.

Has the power to turn invisible, and the power of persuasion. This is done mostly vocally, and the person Valefar is trying to persuade must be able to understand him.

As with all celestial beings, Valefar knows a number of languages; but not as much as the angel Raziel. Also as with all celestial beings, Valefar can change his appearance into three different forms at will. His human form, animal form (a lion), and his demon form (a seven foot gray muscular humanoid being with the head of a donkey, and the tail of a lion. Has six wings in this form, all red in color.
WEAKNESS: As with all demons/fallen angels, Valefar is bound to a certain seal. If summoned into it, Valefar must tell the truth of all things past and present. His powers are also greatly weakened, and he cannot deceive the conjurer.

He is also, thanks to a curse placed on him, a kleptomaniac. If he hasn't stolen something in a while he gets agitated, and can actually grow weak if he hasn't stolen anything in weeks.

PERSONALITY: The first impression that Steven/Valefar gives off is that he is friendly. He easily finds thieves, and befriends them by means of charm and the promise of places to steal from. He works best in groups, for he works to bring thieves together. When leading these groups he'll lead them to places, help them steal, and help them make their get away. The thrill for Valefar, however, is not the stealing, but leading his followers to the gallows. Whenever he grows bored, Valefar will go the authorities, and give them the names of the thieves (all while persuading them that he is innocent). He then gladly watches the police arrest those who follow him.

So, Valefar is truly a double-crossing, backstabbing, jack-ass. He feels no remorse, or guilt for his actions, but rather sees himself as a wonderful law-abiding citizen. Interestingly enough, he never kills his followers. This may be because, Valefar allows the justice system to discipline them. Most of his followers wind up in prison for years, but a very small group of them have managed to escape, or have been found 'not guilty'.

Another aspect to Valefar's personality is due to the curse placed on him. He is a kleptomaniac, and receives an adrenaline rush when he goes on his little stealing sprees. Though he may lead his followers in certain outings, Valefar also prefers to go alone. Most of the stuff he steals is stored away in a secret vault. He doesn't steal for the money that the items may bring, but for the thrill. The more priceless, valuable, and coveted an item, the more Valefar will want to steal it.

He is slow to anger. He retains the idea that if he remains calm, he can persuade more people, and be able to sidestep accusations easier. However, he does get upset when an outing goes wrong. When this happens he is known to either take his animal form and stalk about, get buzzed, or have sex.

HISTORY: Pre-Adamic: Valefar was created along with the other celestial beings 2,000,000,000 - 2,000 years before the creation of man. During this time, Valefar kept mostly to himself. When God announced the plan to create man (and to have the angels serve them); Valefar straddled the fence for awhile, until God finally demanded that he either stay and serve, or leave. The angel left his first estate, and decided to work for Samael.

Past history: For most of his life, Valefar took to stealing, convincing others to steal, and leading these people to the gallows.

Modern Day: Around 2009, Valefar was given his assignment by the angel Gabriel. He was to work with a young woman who had the awakened ability of technopathy (Michelle). The kleptomaniac demon saw great potential in her; not just because of her ability, but because she admitted to getting a thrill from stealing people's credit card information online, and also their identities. For the next three years, Valefar convinced Michelle to use her ability for evil. Going against him though was the angel Gabriel; Michelle's guardian angel. Gabriel did everything to persuade Michelle to use her ability for good.

Ultimately, even though Michelle sometimes did good; Valefar was more persuasive. It would soon come to the point where so many identities, card numbers, and bank account numbers were stolen that the entire thing became world news. The authorities could not seem to track down Michelle, until 2012.
True to his nature, Valefar double crossed Michelle and turned her into the authorities. He testified against her; even convincing the people that Michelle was behind the entire thing; and that she had convinced him to help her. In the end, Michelle was sentenced to multiple life sentences in a maximum security prison. After the ordeal, Valefar went off to another place, and settled in a remote location.

OTHER INFORMATION: Some random, but vital information about Valefar.

Does not use a vessel, celestial beings in his world are allowed to change their human appearance once every one hundred years.
Actually still lived in Heaven even after the fall.
Has wings, but they're more a status symbol than anything. When he wills them to appear they appear to be made of green smoke.

CANON PUNCTURE PREFERENCE: He's not from any fandom, but he is of course from mythology. The great thing about Valefar's world is that the demons and angels are well aware of all the myths surrounding them. Thanks in part to Raziel, they also know about different realms, and they know about their 'dopplegangers' or 'twins'. In other words, feel free to have your character mention knowing Valefar from mythology. Feel free to say he looks like so, and so. He'll just smile, and give the thumbs up.
PLAYER PREFERENCE ON MATURE THEMES AND SCENES: Depends on the person. If I feel comfortable with you, then I'll write it out, if I'm not, then I'll ask to fade to black. Time is also not an issue. Sometimes I can go 'all the way' upon first meeting someone, and other times it could take me months. As for mature themes, I'm comfortable with almost everything as long as it's done right. I won't do any dark plots just for the sake of shock.
ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW? Nope, just apping a character that wants out...again.
